18th & Grand: The Olympic Auditorium Story makes its long-awaited indoor screening debut in a series of unique events at Laemmle Theatres across Los Angeles on March 8, 9, and 10. March 8 at Laemmle’s Royal has a boxing theme, with special guests announcer Jimmy Lennon Jr., boxer Frankie Duarte, manager Sam Watson, and author Gene Aguilera participating in an after-show Q&A. At Laemmle’s Noho7 on March 9, the theme will be roller derby, with guest skaters Honey Sanchez, Larry Lewis, and announcer Danny Wolf. On the 10th at Laemmle’s Pasadena Playhouse, Olympic Auditorium wrestling will be the Q&A subject, with grappler Mando Guerrero and historian Rock Rims.
